I believe in teaching through learning and learning through teaching.
Can any of us really claim to be experts in anything? When we lose our desire to learn, we cease to be great teachers.
As I learn about difficult things, it would be selfish to keep it to myself, so I’m openly sharing what I learn here on my personal website. I’m inviting you to come along.
I learn new things and teach along the way. Follow along if you’re interested.
What I’m learning about right now:
The New Evangelization
I’ve been writing for and speaking to religious educators for five years now. I’ve got a master’s degree in education and more than ten years teaching experience. I got this teaching thing down, but Christianity (especially Catholics) needs more than just great teachers these days. We need to become I need to become a better evangelizer.

Social Media For Authors
I’ve always been a big proponent making an email list the #1 priority as an author. Growing my main email list has made an incredible impact on almost everything I do. That and what most people call “blogging” or “SEO” have been my biggest strengths. But I have to admit, I’m weak on social media. I used to say it was a waste of time, but who am I to judge? I’m studying social media best practices and putting together a system for connecting with people via social media without taking away valuable time as a writer.
