Bible Breaks FAQ
What ages are the stories designed for?
The stories are primarily written for children ages 6-12. As kids in your family get older, invite them to read and lead the discussion with younger siblings.
How long does it take to read the stories?
The Bible Breaks stories for kids are short and to the point. They are about 300 words each, which is about one page of a book. They take about three minutes to read and your discussion with your kids about the story can last as long as you want. (You will be amazed by what your kids say and get out of these stories!)
When is the best time to read the Bible Breaks stories?
Parents can use them with their kids during mealtimes (breakfast, lunch, or dinner) or at bedtime. Religious educators can use them to begin classes or to introduce lessons in class. They are also great for extended reading time.
How close are the stories to the actual wording in the Bible?
First of all, I encourage you to read the actual inspired Word of God right from the Bible. Kids should see adults reading from the good book. The Bible Breaks stories are meant to help students love the Bible and eventually start to read it on their own. The stories stay very close to the exact wording in the Bible, but since they are written for younger children, the difficult words in the Biblical text are either defined or worded to make them easier to understand.
