There was an old dog that loved to run through the yard of his home. He had the yard all to himself until one day his owner brought home a new dog. She was still just a puppy and she had lots of energy. She wanted to play in the yard too, but the old dog didn’t like that at all. He growled at her and chased her down when she ran through the yard.
The old dog became so angry that he even tried to bite the puppy when she came too close. She didn’t fight back at all. She let the old dog attack. The owner saw this and locked the old dog in a cage. He didn’t want him to hurt their new puppy.
So the old dog was forced to watch the new dog run happily through his yard while he sat jealously looking on in a very cramped cage.
Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth.
