I have been an avid reader of science fiction and fantasy books since I was a kid. I hated reading until I first opened up The Hobbit and then delved into the world of Middle Earth with The Lord of the Rings in the seventh grade. J.R.R. Tolkien taught me to love reading. So I may have him to thank for my later love of reading the Bible as well.
I did not realize when I was younger how much Tolkien and Lewis’s Christian faith influenced the words of The Lord of the Rings and The Chronicles of Narnia. It turns out that they are two among many fantasy and science fiction authors whose faith influenced their writing.
I wondered . . . besides Tolkien and Lewis, who else is writing Christian fantasy and science fiction stories?
